Privacy Policy

It is the policy of Component Studios (the company that owns Call Recorder) to respect your privacy regarding any information we may collect while operating our websites and App.

Information we Collect

When you create a Call Recorder account we ask for personal information including your phone number. We automatically receive and record information within our server logs from your browser and App, including your IP address. We store your cellular carrier name in order to better provide you with support. If you make an in-app-purchase, we store the transaction data associated with each purchase. We use the information we collect from you to fulfill your requests for products and services and to contact you, if necessary. Your phone number and purchase data are stored indefinitely unless and until you request for your account to be terminated by emailing us. HTTP request information such as your IP address is stored in our server logs for a period of no longer than one year. All communications between our App and servers are secured via industry standard TLS end-to-end encryption.

Third Party Data Collection

When you place a call to one of our access numbers, your phone number is logged by one of our telephony partners. If and when you request for your account to be terminated by emailing us, you may also request that we remove all logs containing your phone number from our partners' systems. The App utilizes third-party software to report crashes to us and analyze App usage trends. These third party services may collect information such as IP addresses and similar unique IDs such as cookie IDs and device IDs.

About your Account

When using our service, your account is tied solely to your phone number. You must verify your number using the procedure within the App before you can use the service. Should your phone number change, it is your responsibility to secure your recordings by backing them up and / or deleting them before changing numbers. We are not responsible for your recordings being accessed by someone else who acquires your old phone number and then installs the App.

Recordings

Your recordings are stored securely on Amazon S3 servers where they are encrypted at rest. We will store your recordings for a time period of a minimum of one year, after which they may be automatically deleted at our discretion. Should you choose to delete a recording manually, it will be gone from our servers for good. There is no way to recover deleted recordings.

Website Visitors

Like most website operators, Component Studios collects non-personally-identifying information of the sort that web browsers and servers typically make available, such as the browser type, language preference, referring site, and the date and time of each visitor request. Component Studios' purpose in collecting non-personally identifying information is to better understand how Component Studios' visitors use its website. From time to time, Component Studios may release non-personally-identifying information in the aggregate, e.g., by publishing a report on trends in the usage of its website.

Component Studios also collects potentially personally-identifying information like Internet Protocol (IP) addresses. Component Studios does not use such information to identify its visitors, however, and does not disclose such information, other than under the same circumstances that it uses and discloses personally-identifying information, as described below.

Aggregated Statistics

Component Studios may collect statistics about the behavior of visitors to its websites. Component Studios may display this information publicly or provide it to others. However, Component Studios does not disclose personally-identifying information other than as described below.

Protection of Certain Personally-Identifying Information

Component Studios discloses potentially personally-identifying and personally-identifying information only to those of its employees, contractors and affiliated organizations that (i) need to know that information in order to process it on Component Studios' behalf or to provide services available at Component Studios' websites, and (ii) that have agreed not to disclose it to others. Component Studios will not rent or sell potentially personally-identifying and personally-identifying information to anyone. Other than to its employees, contractors and affiliated organizations, as described above, Component Studios discloses potentially personally-identifying and personally-identifying information only when required to do so by law, or when Component Studios believes in good faith that disclosure is reasonably necessary to protect the property or rights of Component Studios, third parties or the public at large. If you send us a request (for example via a support email or via one of our feedback mechanisms), we reserve the right to publish it in order to help us clarify or respond to your request or to help us support other users. Component Studios takes all measures reasonably necessary to protect against the unauthorized access, use, alteration or destruction of potentially personally-identifying and personally-identifying information.

Removal of Data and Personally-Identifying Information

Individual recordings can be removed immediately and permanently from within the App. Should you wish to permanently delete your account and / or edit personally-identifying information such as your phone number, please email us at info@componentstudios.com. Your account balance will be set to 0 and you will not be entitled to a refund or any other compensation for any unused credits in your account should you choose to delete it.

Although most changes are likely to be minor, Component Studios may change its Privacy Policy from time to time, and in Component Studios' sole discretion. Component Studios encourages visitors to frequently check this page for any changes to its Privacy Policy. Your continued use of this site after any change in this Privacy Policy will constitute your acceptance of such change.
